Nehru Public School was founded to give the children of Bagodar a sound, CBSE-pattern education close to home.
Our story
Sixteen years of steady work.
The school opened on 5 February 2010 on Suriya Road, and today it teaches every class from Nursery to Class X.
We follow the CBSE pattern, so students work from the same kind of syllabus and textbooks used across the country. Alongside the classroom we give real time to sport, yoga, art and the stage — because a child who can speak to a crowd or play for a team carries that confidence into every exam.
The school is led by Director Shri Nageshwar Mahto, Principal Shri Om Prakash Mahto and Coordinator Shri Nimai Chandra Bauri, with a committed team of teachers behind them.

The line comes from the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad, and it circles the diya on our crest. It is what we ask of every lesson: that a child leaves the room knowing a little more than when they walked in.
